The Francis Wilson Playhouse Clearwater Fl is an intimate and interesting theater option located just 3 miles from Clearwater Beach Fl.
This historical theater has 182 seats. When you walk in the doors, you can feel the history all around you. The playhouse is named after Francis Wilson who was a celebrity on Broadway. He started his acting in the middle 1800’s in Philadelphia. He was very committed to the profession and the prevention of exploitation by the emerging Theatre Syndicate. He helped form The Actors’ Equity Association. He lived at 400 Osceola Avenue and his home is still standing.
This playhouse offers all styles of plays and performances. Tickets are very reasonable.
We saw Guys and Dolls and it was so refreshing. We have seen this play on bigger scales in Atlanta but to see it in such a cozy atmosphere really transports you and you feel a part of the action.
The theater is located at 302 Seminole Street, Clearwater, just 3 miles from the round-about on Clearwater Beach.
If you want some entertainment nearby, we think you might really like the Francis Wilson Playhouse Clearwater Fl.
